Hi everyone! It’s finally spring, and I am already planning different things to do this summer with my little ones. It gets so hot in Colorado over the summer, and I love taking my little ones to Water Parks in Denver, so I have some excellent suggestions to share with you.
Water Parks in Denver
Waterworld
Waterworld, one of the best water parks in Denver, promises a day filled with fun and excitement. Its expansive size and wide range of rides ensure there’s never a dull moment. From the heart-pounding thrills of the Mile High Flyer to the relaxing float along the Lazy River, there’s something for everyone. Be prepared to spend the whole day at Waterworld, as there’s so much to see and do.
Some of their attractions are the Alpine Express Gondola, Beaver Trail, Caribbean Family Adventure, Centennial Base, Cimarron River, Cowabunga Beach, Eagle River, Foothill Falls, Fox Tail, Glacier Run, Gunnison River, Lazy River, Little Bear Pond, Lost River, Mile High Flyer, Minnow Creek, Pirate’s Plunge, Purgatoire River, Colorado River, Rio Grande River, warming pool, and many others. They also host group parties and birthday parties for a day filled with fun.
Elitch Gardens first opened its gates to the public back in 1890. Since then, it has grown a lot and is one of Denver’s most well-known parks. Elitch Gardens is known to be a fantastic amusement park, but they also have a water park inside, which is lovely. So, you can enjoy the rides and refresh yourself in the water park on one of those hot summer days in Colorado. They have thrill slides, which are super awesome, and family slides, which are perfect for little ones. And remember that they offer season passes or single-day passes. So, if you go there a few times during the summer, maybe a season pass is the best option.
Pirates Cove
Pirates Cove is one of my kids’ favorites, and they enjoy spending at least one summer day there. They have slides and activities for all ages, but if you want to be able to get a spot with some shade, make sure not to get there until a little later after it opens. It was built in 2004, and it is located in Englewood, offering a leisure pool with a large play structure, a 25-meter, 6-lane pool, a 35-foot slide tower with three slides, a lazy river, concessions, and much, much more for your summer fun. The slide tower is the tallest point in Englewood, and they have a dump bucket that holds 750 gallons of water.

Lakeside Amusement Park
Lakeside Amusement Park is a family-owned amusement park in Lakeside, Colorado, adjacent to Denver. Opened in 1908, it is the oldest amusement park in Colorado and is still operating in its original location. It is the lone remaining American amusement park to have had the name White City. Lakeside’s summer season typically begins on weekends in May, shifts to daily operations (excluding Tuesdays) from early June to mid-August, and then revert to weekends until mid-September. During this period, Lakeside is open on weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays in the afternoons and evenings.

The Splash at Fossil Trace
The Splash Aquatic Park is in Golden and has features and attractions for all ages. It is also home to the largest giant sandbox in Jefferson County, which is full of interactive structures and shade. There is also a fun and gentle Splash Pad for little swimmers who need a break from the big pool. This location is definitely a must-stop in the summer.

Del Mar Family Aquatic Center
This aquatic center is in Aurora, and daily outdoor pool passes must be purchased at the front gate on the day you plan to attend. The water slide height requirements are 48″ to ride all six slides, 45″ to ride three slides, and 42″ to ride two slides. So, if you’re close to Aurora, this could be an excellent location to check it out.

Oasis Family Aquatic Park
This water park in Brighton can also be something different to plan this summer for a fun day. They have two exciting slides, a lazy river with a zero-depth entry and wave generator, a climbing wall in the dive well, a tot pool with zero-depth entry and interactive play features, a water basketball area, a complete concession stand, two exciting slides, a lazy river with zero-depth entry and a wave generator, and a climbing wall in the dive well. They also offer group reservations and party reservations.

Indoor Water Park and Resort Great Wolf Lodge
Great Wolfe Lodge is in Colorado Springs, but it is worth the drive because of the stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and the lodge, which offers a convenient escape for families. The indoor water park is a perfect 84 degrees year-round, so you can enjoy a world of fun, whether staying overnight or visiting for a day.
Great Wolf Lodge is not just a vacation destination; it’s an experience. With various exciting attractions, there’s something for everyone in the family. Start a rock collection at Oliver’s Mining Co., embark on a quest to defeat the shadowy darkness in MagiQuest, explore new heights on Howler’s Peak Ropes Course, and score big at the Northern Lights Arcade. They also offer summer camps, providing a perfect spot for your child’s summer adventure.

H20′ Brien Pool
H2O’Brien is located in Parker and is a must during the summer. The outdoor pool features two 182’ water slides, a zero-depth entry with a large, state-of-the-art water play structure, a lap pool, a concession area, a sizable deck space with seating, ample shade, and a game area. Individuals of all ages will enjoy this attraction in the heart of downtown Parker. So, right outside the pool, there is an enjoyable playground, which my kids love, and if you are in the mood, there are some excellent restaurants around.

Old Town Hot Springs
This is one of Colorado’s premier hot springs, a historic hot spring, a family-friendly recreation facility, and a world-class gym in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Old Town Hot Springs has been a site for recreation and rejuvenation for over 100 years because of the gift of the Heart Spring, the source of all the healing mineral water in their eight pools. Old Town Hot Springs has two exciting 230-foot-long water slides open seasonally yearly. Right in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs, the water slides provide a thrilling addition to soaking in our outdoor mineral pool. But remember that children must be 44 inches tall and strong swimmers to ride the water slides.

The Bay Aquatic Park
This water park in Broomfield is designed for families and children ages 13 years and under. The park has two body slides, an inner tube slide, a leisure pool with zero–depth entry and racing slides, and an interactive water play structure. There is also a large, separate tot pool with slides designed for children six and under. The park has restrooms, family dressing rooms, a concessions area, and a large grass and picnic area. Shade pavilions are available for rental. The leisure pool is a zero-depth entry.
