These photos were taken in February, just in time for a Downtown Castle Rock Senior Session. It was winter in Colorado, and all the trees were still dry. Castle Rock has different backdrops and vibrant colors throughout the whole year, which can be a great option for cold months.

The Perfect Setting
Downtown Castle Rock is a unique mixture of historic charm and modern vibrancy. The Rock Park, with its stunning views and rugged beauty, provides a dramatic natural backdrop. The streets, lined with boutique shops, cafes, restaurants, and historic buildings, add a touch of urban sophistication. This mix of natural and urban elements makes Downtown Castle Rock a perfect spot for an urban photoshoot.
A Day in a High School Senior
Our senior session began around 3 p.m. The soft light highlighted the details of the historic buildings. Our senior, dressed in a casual yet stylish outfit, perfectly complemented the laid-back yet elegant vibe of the area.
We started our session in the heart of the town, near the Courtyard on Perry Street. The vibrant murals and rustic brick walls perfectly contrasted with our senior’s energy and sophistication. And, I must confess, I love photographing outdoors surrounded by trees and mountains, but these photos have my heart. I loved the colors achieved in here during a cold month here in Colorado.
We also got lucky, and it wasn’t too cold on that day. It was sometimes a little windy, but not too bad for February.
