Denver Zoo
The Denver Zoo is a perfect option for young children to have a day filled with fun and adventure. It offers a captivating sanctuary where families can immerse themselves in the beauty and essence of wildlife. With majestic lions, playful penguins, and graceful giraffes, the zoo provides endless opportunities for kids to explore and unleash their imagination. Our favorite exhibits include elephants, penguins, sea lions, and the always enjoyable carousel.
Downtown Aquarium
The Denver Downtown Aquarium is one of our favorites. Step into a world of vibrant colors, exotic creatures, and mesmerizing marine life as you explore its diverse exhibits. From graceful sea turtles and dazzling tropical fish to awe-inspiring sharks and playful otters, the aquarium offers endless opportunities for young kids to use their imagination. We love looking at the sharks, touching stingrays, and my daughter is always thrilled by the occasional mermaid shows they have a few times a year. And don’t forget to grab a bite at the restaurant! Our family always plan on having lunch there, aiming for a table near the entrance where you can watch the sharks swim. It’s a really fun experience for little kids and the whole family.
Denver Nature and Science Museum
The Denver Nature and Science Museum is a fascinating place of knowledge and discovery. With its extensive collection and interactive exhibits, it offers a captivating experience for young children. From exploring ancient fossils and learning about the wonders of the universe to delving into the mysteries of nature and technology, this museum provides a unique experience. My kids’ favorite spot is the Discovery Zone, where they can play, search for fossils, and have fun with water activities. Lastly, be sure to bring a change of clothes for your children as they’ll surely get wet!
Children’s Museum of Denver
The Children’s Museum of Denver is a place of imagination and discovery that sparks joy in both kids and adults. This interactive museum offers endless opportunities for play, learning, and creativity. From hands-on exhibits that encourage problem-solving and critical thinking to engaging activities that inspire curiosity and wonder, the Children’s Museum of Denver is a kid’s dream. My kids particularly enjoy playing with bubbles, exploring the firetruck exhibit, building things, and having a great time in the outdoor playground area before we head back home.
